Job description

We are looking for a:

Research Engineer

As a Research Engineer in the Research & Analysis department, you play a key role in conducting in-depth research to improve products and engineering processes. Your work spans various projects, including analyzing the dynamic behavior of our rides, developing automated engineering tools, and refining design and evaluation procedures. Additionally, you are involved in setting up, executing, and analyzing experiments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and implementing improvements in existing processes and products while contributing to the development of new innovations.

  • Performing analytical and numerical static or dynamic calculations to determine loads or motion patterns within systems.

  • Conducting stress analyses and performing static or fatigue strength assessments.

  • Designing and executing experiments, including statistical analysis of the resulting data.

  • Evaluating and applying relevant standards and guidelines for design and design verification.

  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to integrated, cross-departmental solutions.

Job requirements

What we expect from you:

  • A relevant master’s degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field).

  • The ability to analytically understand complex issues and approach them in a structured manner.

  • The capability to independently acquire new technical knowledge.

  • Experience with simulation software packages is a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience with programming are a plus.

  • A team player who communicates openly with colleagues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.

  • Preferably, experience and knowledge in the field of dynamics, along with a clear interest in this area.
