Factory Unit Manager


The core activity of the unit

At the production division, drawings come to life. Our production employees are true team players with an eye for detail and a critical perspective. Quality and safety are paramount to us, both in the creation of our products and in working within the factory.

The Factory unit encompasses many different disciplines that are all essential for delivering our products effectively, from manufacturing to assembly. Within the Factory unit, the production of both tracks and vehicles takes place based on drawings and technical instructions. Working on special products is also increasingly common today.


What will you do?

As the unit manager, you will be responsible for leading the employees within the factory unit, ensuring well-coordinated collaboration with the foremen/team leads is essential. You will establish resource/work planning, monitor progress, and ensure efficient organization of work processes, both in the short term and mid/long term. You will resolve bottlenecks and discuss progress and any delays with other unit managers or, if necessary, with the division manager.

In coordination with the division manager, you will assess the performance of the employees, conduct performance reviews, implement the sickness absence policy, and be responsible for the professional development of the employees.

You will be attentive to the organization and design of work processes within the unit and work systematically towards the most suitable process and product quality tailored to client demands.

You will set goals and align them with other units. You will respond proactively to market developments, considering guidelines and technical advancements.

Job requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Technical Business Administration, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • You possess management qualities and can motivate, inspire, and optimally deploy people.
  • You have experience leading a production department.
  • You have a good understanding of business processes and organizational awareness.
  • You have experience in setting up and achieving goals.
  • You have persuasive power but can also listen well.
  • You are principled in dealing with people.
  • You are a connector.
  • You are communicative in both spoken and written Dutch and English.
  • You are a strong personality, authentic, and informal in your interactions.
  • You have a customer- and service-oriented mentality, work ethic, and behavior.
  • You are a positive realist with a natural passion for quality.
