In the short term, we are looking for a:

Account Manager (Key Account)

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible within the account team for maintaining and further developing the relationship with the assigned client, with a focus on new construction projects. You will act as the primary point of contact and, with your strong technical background and commercial experience, be able to solve complex client issues and seize business opportunities. You ensure that the client always receives the highest quality service and support and work closely with the account team and internal teams to maximize client satisfaction.

What will you do?

  • Assist the account director responsible for proactively maintaining and strengthening the relationship with the client.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, together with the responsible director for this specific account, handling questions, issues, and feedback quickly and professionally.

  • Host and professionally guide client meetings.

  • Take the lead in new proposals for construction projects.

  • Manage commercial agreements and contracts with the client.

  • Lead technical and scope discussions, agreements, and significant changes to technical documentation.

  • Support project management with ongoing projects, such as change orders.

  • Anticipate developments at the client and proactively make suggestions to support them with products, services, or service improvements from Vekoma.

  • Actively work on strengthening the strategic relationship with the client by offering in-depth technical knowledge and commercial solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as after-sales, engineering, and project management to enhance client satisfaction and overall experience.

Job requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • At least a completed bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in a B2B environment, preferably in a technical-commercial role.

  • Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in successfully managing high-level client relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.

  • Highly client- and solution-oriented, capable of translating technical challenges into customer-focused solutions.

  • Ability to inspire and collaborate effectively with internal colleagues and departments to optimally support the client and contribute to achieving shared goals.

  • Proficient in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel regularly and work flexible hours to accommodate the client’s time zones.
