Project Manager

For our Project Management Division, we are currently looking for a:

Project Manager

At Vekoma Rides, the Project Manager is the key figure both for the customer and within the organization. You will be involved from contract award through to the final delivery of the attraction. You will be responsible for delivering projects within the agreed constraints of available resources, quality requirements, and project timelines. In this role, identifying opportunities and risks, driving continuous improvement, and taking a solution-oriented approach are essential. You will report directly to the Division Manager Project Management. This position is based in Vlodrop, the Netherlands. Due to the nature of the role and our working environment, a good command of the Dutch language is required.

What will you do?

• You are a natural leader who connects people and ensures project objectives are achieved.

• You lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, work planners, and purchasers.

• You act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

• You create clear project plans and monitor progress closely.

• You keep a sharp focus on budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

• You make well-considered decisions to keep projects moving forward.

• You identify bottlenecks at an early stage and translate them into practical solutions.

• You actively contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives.

• You are responsible for the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.

What do we expect from you?

• You have a strong theoretical and practical technical foundation at a minimum Bachelor’s degree (BSc) level, for example in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Business Administration.

• You have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in complex technical projects.

• You know how to motivate, inspire, and effectively deploy teams to achieve shared objectives.

• You are empathetic, tactful, customer-oriented, well-organized, and strongly focused on results.

• You are a natural leader with excellent communication skills.

• Dutch language proficiency is required for this role. You are fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written, and can also communicate professionally in English.

• You are willing to travel internationally several times a year.

• IPMA or PMI certification is considered an advantage.
